So I was surprised to happen out, the iPod touching ascent is 20$. I mean, isn't that the worse thought ever? I paid for my iPod touch, just like anyone else, why should I have got to pay for it to be up to date.
The worse portion of it, is that anybody purchasing a new iPod touching as of now, will acquire the new applications for free, which are basically what the ascent is for. These new applications are: Maps, Mail, Stocks, Notes and Weather.
The good news, is that if you have got what they name a jailbroken iPod, you will be able to acquire these applications for free! Yay!
So how are you going to make this? First, you have got to set your microcode in 1.1.1. If you are in 1.2.1, you are going to have got to downgrade. To happen out if you have got got the right microcode travel into "settings" and chink on "about" then you'll see wat microcode you have. Here are the simple stairway to make so:
1. Download the 1.1.1 firmware
2. Once downloaded put your itouch into recovery manner (see below)
3. Hold displacement and chink restore(go into itunes)
4. Double chink the 1.1.1 data file you downloaded
5. Wait, once it's done working, you should have got the right firware.
7. Now you can breakout and put in iphone apps (just utilize my instructions)
For recovery Mode
1. Rich Person your itouch on and affiliated into your computer
2. clasp both the slumber place button
3. When you see the apple allow travel of the slumber button
4. Then you'll see your iPod touching will inquire you to hook it up to your computer.
Once you are in the right microcode and have got validated it. You are going to travel on jailbreakme.com, download and put in appsnap. Let appsnap work and then travel into put in and put in the followers apps : openssh, bsd system, launcher.
You will then be able to put in the applications you desire on your jailbroken iPod.
